The Institute was set up in the year 1986 by Prof .Ravendra .N.Wadhawan – Course Director, (former .Deputy Director General ,Ministry of Tourism).He had more than 50 years of Experience in the field of Tourism & Hotel Industry. During his tenure with Ministry of Tourism,. he held several important portfolios overseas and in India. He served as Chairman of “Hotel Review & Classification Committee”,Regional Director “Europe for India Tourist Offices”. Regional Director, “North & East India”. He is credited with setting up of “ Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management”. He was invited as Chief Guest by various Universitites/Institutions for Seminars. and workshops . He was regular Speakers of FM TVChannel for Travel &Tourism , Hotel Management and Hospitality for Job opportunities.
The Institute provide professional courses in the field of Tourism & Travel, Management, Aviation (Cabin Crew, Airport Customer Services & Ground Handling).IATA Ticketing with GDS/CRS – Amadeus software for Ticketing,Hotel Management & Operations with Kitchen Practicals. Hospitality Oriented German Language is offered with all the courses. The Institute was also selected to train/impart training for 2200 facilitators for Common Wealth Games held in the year 2012.The programmes were named ‘EWL’ (Earn while Learning) skilled courses by Ministry of Tourism.
The Institute’s main focus is to provide professional ,Vocational,Technical Skills & Entrepreneurship. All the above are management courses intended to provide jobs in the field of Tourism, Aviation, Hotels, Restaurants & Hospitality sector. After completion of these courses our students are ready to face the challenges of the industry. More than 7000 students have successfully passed out from our Institute. Our students are well placed in the industry, with Airlines, Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, Inter Globe Technologies, Star Hotels, Resorts, Restaurants, Fast Food joints and other Tourism related services. 2.IATA Ticketing with GDS/CRS – Amadeus software online system. Six Months Certificate Course Fee Structure Rs.30,000/-.Students will have to clear the IATA exams and pay the fee as applicable.
3.Confectionery & Patisserie. Six Months Certificate Course. Fee Structure Rs.30,000/-
4.Incredible Regional Tourist Guides/Escorts & Facilitators. Six Months Course. Fee Rs.30,000/-
Students will have to clear exams conducted by Ministry of Tourism and IITTM.
